Interested in ecology, philosophy, and health, Staci Katsias uses art to express themes about life and current topics.
She explores various media, especially printmaking and glass. Since joining the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio team in 2017 as the Community Auditor in the assistantship program, she has been constantly experimenting in kiln formed glass processes. Her concentration is in using reclaimed studio furnace glass.
Katsias is an instructor at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio. Her work is in public, private, and corporate collections, including Target Corporation, The Rutter Family Art Foundation, The Brock Environmental Center, and the Virginia Beach VIBE District. Professionally she has served on the Board of Trustees at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, 2011 – the present.
