Interested in ecology, philosophy, and health, Staci Katsias uses art to express themes about life and current affairs.
She explores various media, especially glass and printmaking. Since joining the Chrysler Museum of Art Glass Studio team as adjunct faculty she has been constantly experimenting in kiln formed glass processes. Her concentration is in using reclaimed studio furnace glass.
Her work is in public, private, and corporate collections, including Target Corporation, The Rutter Family Art Foundation, The Brock Environmental Center, and the Virginia Beach VIBE District. Professionally she has served on the Board of Trustees at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, 2011 – 2019.
