Retired chiropractor Staci Katsias grew from the healing arts to the visual arts, to express themes of ecology, health, and current events.
Katsias explores various media, especially glass. Joining the Chrysler Museum of Art Perry Glass Studio team as adjunct faculty, she has been consistently experimenting. Ecological concerns lead her material use exclusively to reclaimed studio and other reclaimed glass.
Her work is in public, private, and corporate collections, including Target Corporation, The Rutter Family Art Foundation, The Brock Environmental Center, Chesapeake Bay Foundation, and the Virginia Beach VIBE District. Professionally she has served on the Board of Trustees at the Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art, 2011 – 2019.
